Description/Information

Tracks 1 to 4

Here we have tested these 4 different microphones from the same position, facing the 12th fret a couple of inches away from the guitar. We have recorded the dry sound without any EQing but we would recommend reducing the boominess and muddiness between 200–400 Hz.

Track 5

Here we have recorded the guitar with the AB method using a pair of Rode M5's. Another stereo microphone recording technique one can try.

Track 6

Here we have recorded the guitar with the ORTF method using a pair of Rode M5's. A cool stereo microphone recording technique.
