We recorded the Electric Guitar with 5 direct microphones and one room microphone. We used the 421, SM57, SEX1, C414 and E906 as the direct microphones. We used another C414 as a room microphone. The direct microphones were placed roughly 3 to 4 inches off-axis by the cone from the skin of the Amp.

We moved around the room and used our ears to find a good spot for the room microphone position. We decided to upload the DI separately to give you a better idea of what the microphones sound like on their own but it can be a good idea, depending on taste, to blend the DI with the microphone recordings of the Amp.
